Abstracts
Submitting abstracts:
All abstracts must be submitted in English, and sent to antwerp2012@bht.be or submitted by the applicationform.
Submission Deadline:
February 28, 2012
Main subject: the thumb.
Other accepted subjects:Abstracts concerning the hand – or fore-arm rehabilitation/assesments/research
Presentation types: oral presentations (lecture time: 10 minutes, including discussion time)
Presentations are accepted in Microsoft Office for Windows and Mac.
Submission guidelines:
- Abstract title: not capitalised, maximum length: 200 characters
- Presenter name: full name of the presenter, no title, affiliation or initials
- Name of all authors: initials precede surnames (spaces - not full stops - between initials), presenter name should be listed here again, authors will be published as it is written here
- Affiliation: institute's name, city, country, no addresses or email addresses
- Abstract text: maximum of 350-word excluding the title, author names and affiliations. You can type your abstract directly to the on-line form or paste a previously edited text. A plain text should be used. Do not use any formatting elements (bold or italicus typefaces, bullets, list elements, symbols, borders, lines, etc.) The abstract system does not accept charts, tables, graphics or photos, only text formatted abstracts can be submitted.
Please use the following structuring:
- Introduction
- Aims–Material and Methods
- Results
- Discussion and Conclusions(interpretation of results,suggestions for further studies, limitations)
- Abstracts will be selected based on their scientific merit and the quality and novelty of data presented; it is therefore essential that you clearly and succinctly describe aims, procedures, major findings, and the significance of the research reported. Abstracts containing insufficient information for review will be rejected.
- Abstracts MUST: be submitted in their final state and will be reproduced directly from the online submission – any errors in spelling, grammar or scientific data will appear in print as submitted; include the title
